Chrudim
This project is in LAB category which groups unpublished designs, sketches, un-picked proposals or experiments.
I created a logo and identity proposal for the city of Chrudim in a competition organized by the Czech Design agency. The concept consists of a logotype and a graphic symbol which can also be used as an icon. The design was inspired by Japanese city emblems for its simplicity and abstract nature. The color palette consists of dark blue and white as primary colors, accompanied by a range of neon-like shades symbolizing suburban shopping malls that are now part of the town.
2021–2022 • TASKS: LOGO • BRANDING • CONCEPTS
The logo’s main concept is a shining pearl in the dark. Chrudim is a small town close to two regional capitals and is often overlooked by tourists, but it is worth visiting because of its renovated and pleasant public spaces.
Moodboard: pearl in a mud.
keywords: baroque football soldiers river puppets gardens stone shopping malls
I selected the Wallop typeface for the typography as it complements the city’s architectural elements, such as rounded gates and medieval walls.
